Bleichroth, Minnie (19 Mar. 1865 - 8 Jan. 1951)
Mrs. Minnie Bleichroth died at her home here in Colby early Monday morning at the age of 85 years, a heart ailment and old age complications being the cause of her death. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers are George Kobs, Fred Kobs, Edwin Grambort, Walter Grambort, Norman Kobs, and Lester Kobs.
Mrs. Bleichroth, nee Kobs, was born near Milwaukee on March 19, 1865. She was married to Traugott Bleichroth in Colby, Wisconsin on January 1, 1885, and lived here ever since. Her husband, a former jeweler in Colby, died on January 11, 1937.
Surviving are three daughters, Anna of Colby, Frieda of Chicago, Helen Waschow of Chicago, and four grand children. Two sons died in infancy.
The deceased was a faithful member of her church, and, like all early pioneers, was of a congenial and hospitable disposition who always endeavored to perform her duties to the best of her ability. She will always be remembered, especially by the older people of the community, as one who was always ready to lend a helping hand in time of need - both in acts of kindness and in words.
