Funeral services for Mogen L. Schjoneman of the town of Brighton, who did Sunday morning at the age of 76 years, were held Wednesday afternoon at the First Methodist church of Unity, Wisconsin, Rev. Lee Holmes and Rev. F. J. Smith officiating.
Mr. Schjoneman was born on March 25, 1875, in Oxford, N.J. He came to the town of Brighton with his parents at an early age and settled on a farm which had been his home ever since. When a young man, he cooked in logging camps and on log drives. He was married on October 3, 1905, to the former Kate L. Ayer. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and a member of the Brighton town board for 30 years.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter - Antone of Unity, Merlin of Colby and Mrs. Harley Christiansen of Marshfield. There are nine grand children. His wife died February 14, 1948. A son, Emery, and two brothers also preceded him in death.
