Wescott, Harry David (15 June 1891 - 26 May 1951)
Harry David Wescott passed away at his home Saturday morning, May 26th. He suffered a heart attack last fall but was on the way to recovery and was performing his usual duties when he was stricken with another heart attack. Funeral services were held at the Lulloff Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. F. J. Smith officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Ervin Kademan, Harold Kademan, Bernard Tesmer, Albert Wiedenhoeft, Norman Marsh and Dr. H. E. Wicker, the latter of Stratford.
Mr. Wescott was born in Arlington, Wis., on June 15, 1891, thus reaching the age of 59 years, 11 months and 20 days. He came to this vicinity with his parents when he was a year old to live on a farm six miles east of Unity and spent most of his life there and in Colby with the exception of a few years in Hibbing, Minn., where he had been employed. He attended Unity High School and the Marathon County Agricultural School. He was married to Clara Tesmer, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tesmer, at Colby on Oct. 29, 1927. After his marriage, he resided in Colby, Wis. He had been employed by the H. H. Motor Co. since 1934.
Surviving are his widow; his aged father, Harvey Wescott, of Unity; one brother, Glen Wescott, of Unity; one nephew; Clayton Wescott, of Winnebago, Ill.
The deceased was well and favorably known in Colby, and, being of a congenial disposition, had many friends who were shocked when they heard of his sudden death.
