Theilig, Helena Charlotte (6 Nov. 1876 - 24 Nov. 1951)

Mrs. Herman Theilig of the town of Colby, Wisconsin died on the way to the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Saturday evening at the age of 75 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Green Grove, Rev. Paul Dietz officiating and internment was made in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers were William Singstock, Herman Singstock, Clarence Anderson, Geo. Hansen, Ted Frome, Walter Baumgartner.

Mrs. Theilig, whose maiden name was Helena Charlotte Stockmeyer, was born on November 6, 1876, in the town of Newton, Manitowoc county, and married Herman Theilig at Newton on August 29, 1910. After their marriage, they settled on the present farm four miles west of Colby, Wis.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. William (Erma) Uhlig of Colby; two brothers, Ernest Stockmeyer of Curtiss and William Stockmeyer of Manitowoc county; and eight grand children. Six brothers, one sister and one grand child preceded her in death.

The deceased was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church and the Ladies’ Aid. She was of a kind and gentle disposition, friendly in all her ways, and was well-liked by all who knew her.
