LOYAL -- Esther A. Hansen, 98, of Loyal, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Cuddie Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Esther Hansen

Esther A. Hansen, 98, of Marshfield, formerly of Loyal, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. Burial will follow in the Lutheran cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of the service.

Esther Alvina Guenther was born Jan. 17, 1910, in Marshfield to Henry and Anna (Detzel) Guenther. She married Lloyd G. Hansen on June 26, 1929, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Waukesha. In 1954, they moved to Loyal, where they owned the Gamble Hardware Store and later the Skogmos Store. Lloyd died Jan. 19, 1990, and Esther moved to Marshfield in 1999.

Esther is survived by children Kenneth J. (Kay) Hansen of St. Germain, Donna J. (Herb) Langfeldt of Loyal, Susan G. (Bruce) Gladh of Green Bay; 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and her sister, Lydia Sigl of Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three siblings.
