Franz, Albert (50th Birthday - 26 Feb. 1909)

Last Friday was Albert Franz’ fiftieth anniversary of his birth, and he will probably not forget it. In the evening of that day nearly one hundred of his friends from all directions of the globe - Colby, Abbotsford, towns of Colby, Hull and Holeton - gathered at his residence in the town of Holeton and gave him one of those old-time surprises. Cards and other amusements were indulged in until eating time, and then some. All present had an excellent time and got home in time for milking.
