John G. Hoelz, of Marshfield, was in the city, Monday, taking orders for cigars.
Geo. Schmid, the Neenah cigar man, transacted business in the city, Thursday evening.
A gentle rain, yesterday, harmed nobody but did much good to fall crops and the roads.
H. J. Blanchard and Dan Mahoney attended the Republican convention, at Wausau, Saturday.
Joel J. Shafer made a business trip to Neillsville, Tuesday, accompanied by his daughter Florence.
Frank Wilms has located his barber shop at Abbotsford where, we understand, he has a clear field.
Miss Anna Heitman, of Winona, Minn., is visiting the family of Ald. H. C. Bruns, for a week or so.
Mrs. Eugene Wicker, who had been visiting friends and relatives here, returned to her home, at Medford, Saturday.
G. J. Kaudy visited St. Paul and Minneapolis, Monday and Tuesday, on business for the Colby Manufacturing Company.
Miss Mary Eder has been engaged to teach the school in joint dist. No. 1, towns of Unity and Colby, for the ensuing year.
Gustav Bahn, of Chicago, joined his family here and visited with relatives and friends, last week, and returned home, Monday.
Mrs. Wm. Wagner, of Thorp, was a guest of Mrs. Sam J. Shafer, Thursday. She was accompanied by her daughter Alice.
