Ladies of the Maccabees
Greenwood, Clark Co., Wisconsin
Rumor is afloat that the Ladies of the Maccabees, organized two years ago, and have just closed a charter with a large membership, are doing illegal work and are soon going out of existence. This is a falsehood. We are here to stay. We advise the ladies of Greenwood and vicinity not to be misled by false rumors and do not enter into any combination to infringe upon the hive already organized. We return our thanks to a large number that have refused to do so. — Officers and members of Badger Hive, No. 106 L.O.T.M., Greenwood, Wis. Greenwood Gleaner, July 23, 1903.
