Marg, Edward Carl (9 August 1907 - 2 November 1968)

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville for Edward Carl Marg, 61, of Rt. 2 Neillsville, who died Saturday in Neillsville. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mr. Marg was born August 9, 1907 in Neillsville, son of the late August and Bertha (Marth) Marg. He attended school in the Town of Pine Valley and had resided for 61 years on the Marg home farm. He served as town supervisor of Pine Valley and was a council member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. On June 2, 1929, he was married in Neillsville to the former Lillian Hagedorn.

He is survived by his wife; four children, Mrs. Roger (Caroline) Helm of Granton, Melvin and Donald of Neillsville, and Irvin of Alma Center. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Emma Bardeleben of Neillsville and Mrs. Victor (Hilda) Rhodes of Marshfield; five brothers, Fred and Albert of Neillsville, Frank of Milwaukee, Louis and William of Watertown; and by 10 grandchildren.
