Quade, Richard D. (? - 29 October 1968)
The Rev. W. C. Koehler and Rev.
Jack Grether officiated at the funeral services last Thursday for Richard D.
Quade, 67, who died here October 29 as a result of injuries suffered in an
automobile accident. Services were held from the united Church of Christ. Burial
was made in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City, Minn.
Pallbearers
were Norbert Embke, William Schalk, Alvin Kubera, Stanley Budrer, Arnold Hanson
and Ben Stuhr, staff members at the Winnebago Children’s Home. “Fairest Lord
Jesus” and “Now Over Again for Help that Never Faileth” were sung by the Rev.
Gale Wolf and Don Clemens, accompanied by Mrs. Jack Grether.
People from
out of town attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lewine, David,
Frederick, Richard and Steve; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lewine, Richard P. Lewine, Mrs.
Agnes Lewine and Mrs. Magdalen Lasiwk of Thorp; Matt Ernser of Monroe; Mr. and
Mrs. Pete Quade of Menomonie, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Wall of Dallas; Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Anderson and Betty F. Anderson of Richfield, Minn.; H. M. Thonie of
lake City, Minn.; J. B. Thonie and Mrs. William Thonie of Red Wing, Minn.; Mr.
and Mrs. Tim Grether of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mitchell, Elroy Fischer
and Raymond Decorah of Marshfield. The faculty and school children of the
Winnebago Children’s Home attended the services in a body.
