Zaborowski, Arlene M. (15 February 1918 - 21 March 2013)
Arlene M. (Winger) Zaborowski passed away on March 21, 2013, at the age of
95, at Doak Care Center in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, living near her
daughter, Diane.
Arlene was born on February 15, 1918, and lived most of
her life in the Thorp area, where she married Raymond W. Zaborowski. Together,
they raised three children. Arlene was a devoted wife and mother of her children
and also had her own business, “Arlene’s Beauty Shop,” which she managed for
many years until she and Raymond retired.
She is survived and will be
sadly missed by her two children: Diane Franklin of Steamboat Springs, CO and
William R. Zaborowski of Galesville, WI; two grandchildren: Michael Franklin and
Ralph Zaborowski; and four great-grandchildren: Josh Franklin, Allison
Vietenhiemer, Hanah Zaborowski and Reid Zaborowski.
Arlene was preceded
in death by her husband, Raymond; her daughter, Betsy; and her granddaughter,
Lisa Franklin Vietenhiemer.
Arlene will be laid to rest next to her
husband in New St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery.
“God saw the road was
getting rough, the hills were hard to climb. He gently closed your loving eyes
and whispered, ‘Peace be thine.” The Golden Gate stood open, he saw you needed
rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, for He only picks the best. Your life is a
beautiful memory, your absence a silent grief. You sleep in God’s beautiful
garden, in the sunshine of perfect peace.” Rest in Peace, Mother. We love you!
