Albert Lapp (7 Feb 1867 – 1 Apr 1939)

Albert Lapp, Town of Mayville resident for the past 57 years, passed away at his home on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. He had been in ill health for the past year and suffered with heart trouble which caused his death. He was 72 Years old.

Mr. Lapp was born in Sheboygan County in 1867. He moved to the Town of Mayville when he was 16 years old and resided there continuously until the time of his death.

Funeral services were held at his home in the Town of Mayville at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Interment was made in the Peace Church cemetery north of Dorchester.

Mr. Lapp is survived by his wife, Emma (Webber) Lapp, two sons, Charles and Raymond, his daughters, Cecilia (Mrs. Warren Lewis) and (Goldy (Peter) Schumacher), a brother, Herman Lapp and one sister, Lena (Mrs. John Meyer). Another daughter, Sylvia, and four brothers, John, William, (Jacob) and Rudy are deceased.

Mr. Lapp was widely known and liked in this community. He was always very active and worked continuously for the betterment of his fellow men.
