Henry H. Hamm (18 May 1920 - 11 Mar 1960)

Henry H. Hamm, 39, father of 12 children, and his father-in-law, August P. Engel, 57, who were killed in an automobile crash early Friday in Milwaukee, are former Medford area residents and have relatives here and at Dorchester and Curtiss.

Both of the victims’ wives were injured seriously in the crash. Hamm’s wife, Angeline, 33, sustaining a fractured pelvis and severe face cuts, and Engel’s wife, Olivia, 55, suffering a fractured leg and multiple cuts and bruises.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock for August Engel at our Lady of Sorrows church in Milwaukee and at 10:30 rites were read for Henry Hamm at the Bistricky funeral home in that city. Both were interred in Holy Cross cemetery.

Henry Hamm was born May 18, 1920.
