Sarah Kronschnabl (12 Sep 1882
- 23 Jul 1970)
Funeral services were held Monday at 1 a.m. at St. Louis
Catholic church in Dorchester
for Mrs. Joseph Kronschnabl, 87, who died
Thursday at her home. Interment was in
Dorchester Memorial cemetery, the
Rev. Gerald Schuh officiating. The body lay state at
Maurina funeral home
and a parish rosary and Altar society rosary were recited sunday.
Serving
as pallbearers were Arnold Rhyner, Clarence Vircks, Donald Albrecht, George
Greaser, Jerome Ludwig, and Dennis Mertens.
Mrs. Kronschnabl was born
September 12, 1882, at Brillion where she received her
education. The former
Sarah Fritsch was married January 7, 1903, to Joseph Kronschnabl at
Dorchester.
He died in 1948. After their marriage the Kronschnabls farmed
in the town of Mayville
until 1920, when they moved to Dorchester and
operated a bowling alley and tavern. She
had been a resident of Dorchester
the past 50 years and was a member of St. Louis
Catholic church and its
Altar society.
Survivors include six children, Misses Rose and Cecelia
Kronschnabl, Helen, Mrs. Carl
Mertens, Mildred, Mrs. Clifford Herman; Max
and Jerome Kronschnabl, all of Dorchester.
There are six grandchildren and
18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, a
daughter, six brothers and two sisters.
