Stelter, Jeanette (12 JUN 1943)
Miss Jeanette Stelter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Stelter of Stanley, and James Vitort, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Vitort of Stanley, were united in marriage Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in St. Hedwig’s Parsonage in Thorp. Father Piekarski read the marriage service.
The bride was lovely in a white gown of slipper satin with a fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of talisman roses and lilies of the valley.
Attending the bride was Genevieve Stelter. Her gown was of pink slipper satin.
The groom was attended by Mr. Raymond Waichulis. Both the groom and his attendant wore dark brown suits.
A small reception was held at the P.N.A. Hall in Thorp, followed by a free wedding dance in the evening. Guests from away included Mr. and Mrs. Mike Marik, Mr. and Mrs. Fr. Grensley, Mr. Wm. Burwitz, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. George Chamberlain of Cicero, Mr. and Mrs. Ford Stelter, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Stelter, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Buresk of Eau Claire, and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Helgerson of Cornell.
The young couple will make their home in Stanley, where the groom is occupied as a farmer.
