Szpara, Adeline (30 OCT 1943)
Miss Adeline Szpara, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Szpara, became the bride of Edward Zaborowski, son of Mrs. Agnes Zaborowski, at nine o’clock Saturday morning, Oct. 30, 1943, at St. Hedwig’s Church. The Rev. F. Piekarski performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a white slipper satin gown on princess lines with a sweetheart neckline and a lace trimmed veil of silk illusion. She carried a shower bouquet of starlite roses and bouvardia.
For her attendants the bride chose her sisters, Misses Emily and Mary Szpara. They wore changeable gold and orchid colored gowns with blushers to match, and carried Johanna Hill roses.
The groom chose as his attendants, his cousin, Adam Abramczuk, and Aloysius Navarre, a friend. They all wore dark blue suits with carnation boutonnieres.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a free wedding dance at the American Legion Hall, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
Out of town guests attending were: Misses Emily and Mary Szpara, Mrs. Edward Martin and son Edward, Mrs. Joseph Hudarek and daughter Lillian, and Teddy Stefan, all of Chicago, and Mrs. Joseph Fugiel and daughter Virginia of Hegewisch, Ill.
