Pawelek, Irene (21 OCT 1943)
Lt. Irene Pawelek, nurse at the Station Hospital, Camp Adair, Oregon, and Lt. Franklin H. Swenson, 198th AAA Group, were married Thursday night, Oct. 21, 1943, at a simple ceremony in Chapel 5, Camp Adair, Oregon.
The bride was attended by Lt. Marjorie Lienhan, Station Hospital, and best man was Lt. Elmer Trentman, also of the 198th AAA. Chaplain Gilmore performed the ceremony and Col. Charles W. Comfort Jr., commanding officer of the Station Hospital, gave the bride away.
Follow a brief wedding trip in Portland, Oregon, Lt. and Mrs. Swenson will return to their army duties at Camp Adair. Lt. Swenson is from Everett, Ohio.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Pawelek of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
