Rokicinski, Sabina (27 NOV 1943)

Miss Sabina Rokicinski, daughter of Mrs. C. Szymanski, 8745 Ecanaba Av., Chicago, was married to Leon A. Neiman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Neiman of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., on Saturday, Nov. 27, 1943 at the Immaculate Conception Church at Chicago, by Rev. Stanley Rokicinski, brother of the bride, who was assisted by Rev. A. Feldheim, A. Abramowicz, L. Hanzel, and T. Welowski, B. Kaczorawski, J. Ostrowski, and Rev. S. Chyla, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Church at a solemn high mass.

The church was beautifully decorated with fresh palms and flowers.

The bride was given away by her brother, Pfc. Edmund Rokicinski, who came in from Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., to attend the ceremony.

Miss Delphine Wayrowski, fiancée of Edmund Rokicinski, acted as maid of honor, while Celia Rokicinski, Margaret and Kathleen Neiman, were attendants. Miss Rosemarie Kotwica, niece of the bride, played the part of flower girl.

The bride was attired in white slipper satin, with a long trailing veil ornamented with orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies and white orchids.

The bridesmaids, as well as the flower girl, who was dressed identically, wore white chiffon gowns with scarlet red jackets of velvet and carried sweetheart bouquets of red roses and white mums with streamers of red velvet.

Pfc. Edmund Rokicinski also portrayed the part of best man while Edward Neiman, brother of the bride, ushered.

The breakfast and reception were held at Urbanczyk’s Hall, where over 400 guests gathered to have one grand time.

Mr. and Mrs. Leon A. Neiman have left for two weeks to spend their honeymoon, and will make their home, upon their return, in Oak Park, Ill. near where Mr. Neiman is employed as foreman at the Magnaflux Corp.
