Klewicki, Veronica (18 OCT 1891 - 25 DEC 1943)

Mrs. Walter Klewicki died at the hospital at Stanley of a heart attack at twelve o’clock midnight, Dec. 25, 1943. She had reached the age of 52 years, 2 months and 7 days.

Veronica Szalaj was born on Oct. 18, 1891 at Buffalo, N.Y. She was united in marriage to Walter Klewicki on Jan. 29, 1907 at Posen Church, Thorp. She lived for a time at Stanley, Cornell and Chicago and has resided on a farm in the Town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) for the past twenty-five years.

She is survived by two sons, Edwin of Greenwood and Bernard of Madison; four daughters, Mrs. Jos. (Wanda) Milewski of Withee; Mrs. Nick (Bernice) Krupa and Mrs. Mitchell (Julia) Myslinski of Thorp, and Mrs. Theo. (Emily) Koziol of Chicago; two brothers, Tony and Vincent Szalaj of Chicago; three sisters, Julia Kowalewski and Helen Artabasy of Cornell and Mary Wojcik of Medford.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church at Stanley at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28th, Rev. Father Wallace officiating and interment following in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Geo. Novak, Stanley Blasczyk, Walter Horoziak, Leon Novak, John Pletka and John Trubac.
