A very pretty wedding took place at St. Ann’s Church at Stanley at 9 a.m., Feb. 3rd, 1944 when Rev. Paul Pitzenberger joined in holy matrimony, Vincent, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Savena of Junction (Clark Co., Wis.), and Norma Ann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Ebben of Worden (Clark Co.).
The couple was attended by Edward Hazuga and Phyllis Tollefson and Kenneth Ebben and Lorraine Murphy.
The bride was attired in a charming gown of white satin, the entrain fashioned with a lace yoke embroidered with seed pearls. Long sleeves with pointed at the waist and the neckline was in sweetheart pattern. She wore a pearl necklace, a gift from her sister. Her fingertip veil was fashioned in coronet style. To complete her costume she carried an arm bouquet of white roses, gardenias and carnations.
The bridesmaids, Miss Tollefson and Miss Murphy, wore pink chiffon and blue dresses with blushers to match and carried bouquets of white carnations and pink gladiolas. The groom and his attendants wore dark blue suits.
A reception was held after the ceremony at the Stanley auditorium.
The newlyweds will reside on the groom’s farm northeast of Stanley.
Out of town guests attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Jasper and sons of Superior; Mrs. George Murphy and daughter Lorraine, of Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Ann Adams, Mr. and Mrs. William Schreiber of Eau Claire; Miss Helen Nowacki of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Endvick of Edson.
