Borysiak, Simon (20 APR 1872 - 19 FEB 1944)

Last rites were conducted by Father Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church on Thursday, Feb. 24th at 10:00 a.m. for Simon Borysiak, who passed away at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) of heart disease on Feb. 19th, 1944.

Mr. Borysiak was born in Poland on April 20th, 1872, having reached the age of 71 years. He came to this country in 1887 and resided for several years in Mandan, N.D., before coming to Thorp (Clark Co.). He owned and operated a farm in the Town of Butler for many years, this community being his home until time of death.

The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Balwina Borysiak and two sons, Sigmund and Frank of the Town of Thorp; two brothers, Frank and John of Chicago, and many friends.

Interment took place in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, th following serving as pallbearers: Joe Kaminski, Walter Cukla, Joe Czech, Peter Flashinski, Frank Tomkowiak and John Hazuga.
