Newman, Winifred (13 SEP 1941)

The marriage if Miss Winifred Newman and Arnold Ertl of Loyal took place Saturday, September 13th at 7:00 P. M. at the Lutheran parsonage at East Troy, Wis., with the Rev. Ebert officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Orin Branfort of Troy Center were the attendants.

The bride was attired in a soldier blue crepe dress with a corsage of Talisman roses. Mrs. Branfort wore a powder blue crepe dress with a corsage similar to the bride’s corsage.

The wedding dinner was served at La Grange. Later the bridal party and Mrs. Branfort’s mother attended the theatre.

On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Branfort entertained at a 2 o’clock wedding dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Ertl. Many nice gifts were received at this time.

On Monday the bride and groom went to the Cave of the Mounds near Madison. Tuesday was spent attending the Legion convention at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Ertl left the Branforts at Troy Center and motored to Plymouth and Green Bay where they visited relatives of the bride. On Thursday evening they returned to the home of the bride’s uncle, Walter Newman.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School and the groom attended school at Spencer.

They will reside with the bride’s uncle Walter Newman where they are both employed.
