Vandeberg, Pearl (27 SEP 1941)

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Eide of the Town of Grant was the scene of a pretty, late summer, Saturday when her sister Miss Pearl Vandeberg was united in marriage to Robert Elmhorst, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Elmhorst of the Town of York. Rev. A. H. Laeseh of Granton performed the ceremony at 2:30 P. M.

The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Victor Anderson, Christ Vandeberg and Elaine Elmhorst, the latter being the groom’s sister.

The bride was dressed in a gown of white taffeta and a fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Mrs. Anderson wore blue silk and Miss Elmhorst wore pink satin, both dresses were long with shoulder corsages to match the colors of the gowns.

The groom and his attendants wore navy blue suits.

Mrs. Elmhorst was graduated from the Neillsville High School last June. She has been employed since then in Chicago. The couple will make their home on the farm of the groom’s parents for the present.

Out of town relatives who were here for the wedding were Almon Vandeberg and family of Prescott, William Vandeberg, St. Paul.

After the reception, twenty-three guests were served at supper, in the Eide home. A dance followed in the evening at Hake’s pavilion.
