St. Mary’s Church of Neillsville was the setting for the wedding of Miss Rosalie Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schmidt of York, and Clarence Becker, son of Mrs. Charles Kupke of York, which took place at 8:30 Saturday morning. The Rev. Father Oberrding performed the ceremony.

The bride chose a white satin gown princess style with lace yoke and long sleeves coming to a point over the hand. She wire a coronet cap embroidered with tiny simulated pearls from which hung her fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and lilies.

Miss Josephine Werner, bridesmaid was attired in rose taffeta and carried pink carnations.

The groom and the best man, Joseph Schmidt, wore blue suits.

At noon a dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents to 85 guests. Pink, green, and white streamers, garden flowers and a large wedding cake were used to decorate the home and bridal table.

The waitresses were Coletta Weyer, Margaret and Dorothy Walter, and Miriam Wenner.

Guests from away were Paul Schmidt of Cudahy, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Blackwood and family, Mrs. John Lecher, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Lecher and son Jimmy, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Becker all of Marshfield.

A wedding dance and shower was held at the Silver Dome in the evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Becker plan on making their home at Marshfield where Mr. Becker has employment at the Roddis plant.
