Of interest to many in Colby and vicinity is the marriage of Miss Lila Hardrath, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hardrath, Green Grove, and Alvin Frane, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Frane, Town of Colby, which took place Thursday morning, Oct 16, 1941 at 10 o’clock at St. Jarlath’s Catholic Church, the Rev. J. Flannery performing the ceremony.
The couple was attended by the bridegroom’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Frane of Colby, Wis.
The bride was attired in white brocaded satin with finger tip veil and she carried an arm bouquet of mixed flowers. Mrs. Frane wore a gown of aqua blue with headdress to match, and a wrist bouquet of carnations completed her attire.
A breakfast followed at the home of the bride’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hardrath after which the young couple motored to Colby to spend their honeymoon with relatives and friends. A wedding dance was held at Wiedenhoeft’s Park Friday evening.
Mr. Frane and his bride will reside in Chicago where he is employed as a truck driver.
