Lidbom, Augusta Louise (Marriage - 30 JAN 1942)
Beautifully dressed in a gown of white taffeta of floor length with a fitted bodice and carrying a bouquet of white roses, gardenias and white sweet peas, Miss Augusta Louise Lidbom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray G. Lidbom of Grantsburg exchanged the holy vows of matrimony with Roger W. Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. V. A. Hansen of Withee on Friday, Jan. 20 (30).
The ceremony was performed at 11 a.m. in the Central Lutheran church at Minneapolis and read by Rev. Arnold Flaten of Northfield, Minn.
The bride was attended by Miss Olive Aulie who wore a gown of pink chiffon and carried a bouquet of Talisman roses. The groom was attended by Howard Thomsen.
Following the ceremony a breakfast was served at the Curtis Hotel for 27 relatives and friends of the newlyweds.
The bride is a graduate of the Grantsburg high school and the University of Minnesota hospital. She had been employed as public health nurse in Burnett county.
The groom attended the Withee high school and the University of Minnesota and is now affiliated with his father in the office supply business.
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon at King’s Gateway Hotel, Land O’ Lakes, a popular winter playground. They are now making their home at Chippewa Falls where the groom’s business is located.
