Copet, Edward (25 Dec. 1888 - 25 June 1952)

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Sunday at the Swarthout Funeral Home, Spencer, for Edward Copet, 63, Riplinger, who passed away Wednesday, June 25 at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield of a heart attack.

The Rev. Lee Holmes, Loyal, officiated at the service and burial was made in the West Spencer cemetery.

The body reposed at the Funeral Home until time of the services.

Pallbearers were Edward Copet, Everett Johnson, Woodrow Smutzler, Edward Rohloff, John Widmer, Merlin Miller and Donald Lydickson.

Mrs. Merlin Miller, Mrs. Edward Rohloff, Mrs. Donald Lydickson and Mrs. John Widmer carried the flowers.

Out of town persons here to attend the funeral included Mrs. John Hendrickson, Mrs. Larry Loken, Ray Hendrickson, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kampin, Hibbing, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Don Strang, Chicago; Walter Hendrickson, Milwaukee; Royal Castner, Portage; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Binning, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Binning, Waterford; Mrs. Rose Wendorf, Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Copet, Park Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Copet; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Copet, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hoffman, Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Breuer, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Knoll, Colby; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Copet, and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Copet, Spencer.

Mr. Copet was born December 25, 1888, in Minnesota. He moved to Riplinger when a young boy, became a farmer, and later a cattle buyer.

Among his survivors are a sister; Mrs. Rose Windorf, Medford; and two brothers, Frank Copet, Spencer, and Fred Copet of Park Falls.
