Bennett, Frederick (26 July 1876 - 22 Dec. 1952)
Funeral services for Frederick Bennett, 76, Town of Brighton, who died at his home last Sunday evening were held Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist church with Rev. Schall officiating. Burial was made in the Unity cemetery.
Mr. Bennett was born July 26, 1876, at Bakeville. He married May Harris on May 1, 1901. She passed away October 16, 1907. His second marriage was to Madge Hanawalt on June 7, 1911.
Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Fred (Pansy) Brandt, Hixton; Mrs. Albert Jeske, Town of Brighton; Mrs. Donald Smart and Mrs. Harold Ruppert, Town of Hull; 2 sons, Ralph, Fond du Lac and Merton, Town of Brighton; 8 grand children; a sister, Mrs. Eunice Bennett of Madison.
Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were Herman Ewert, Anton Korntved, Ferdinand Jicinsky, Charles Ewert, Frank Meyer and Aug. Thurs.
Mrs. Rodney Fuller and Mrs. Ted Domer sang "Heartaches" and "The Lights of Home" accompanied by Mrs. Tom Loughead at the piano.
Out-of-town relatives and friends who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bennett and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hodgen of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Holgden, Weyauwega; John and James Hodgden, Wisconsin Rapids; Ross Hanawalt and son, Dovlestown, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Newman, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Newman and Brian Hanawalt, Wausau; Miss Elizabeth Hanawalt, Charles Meyer, and Mr. and Mrs. Erick Erickson, of Marshfield.
