Schoolman, Rosina (13 Aug. 1874 - 27 Dec. 1952)
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, Wisconsin, for Mrs. John Schoolman, 78, who died Saturday afternoon at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Ewert, Unity, with whom she has been making her home the last four months.
The Rev. Randolph Mueller officiated at the services and burial was made in the North Lutheran cemetery at Spencer.
The body reposed at the Swarthout Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Tuesday when it was taken to the church.
Mrs. Schoolman, the former Rosina Veringer, was born in Germany August 13, 1874. She came to this country when she was 3 years old. They settled in Iowa for a few years before moving to Ladysmith.
On July 13, 1895, she was married to John Schoolman in Iowa. Mr. Schoolman passed away May 13, 1935. They had resided in Spencer and surrounding area for many years.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Herb (Rose) Spiegelberg, Spencer; Mrs. Alvin (Marie) Kolstad, Arpin; and Mrs. Myron (Minnie) Ewert, Unity; five sons, Albert and Lincoln, Unity; John and Carl, Spencer and George of Clear Lake; 15 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two brothers, Chris, Manquoketa, Iowa; and Gottlieb in Germany.
Four sisters and a son also preceded her in death.
