Bennett, Mary (13 July 1866 - 25 Feb. 1953)
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday for Mrs. Mary Bennett, formerly of Unity, Wisconsin who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Flink in Milwaukee, February 25th.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Sweden July 13, 1866 and came to the United States in 1885. She was married to Nels Bennett in Chicago in 1887 and came to Unity and settled on a farm about three miles west of here where they lived several years later moving to the village where they purchased a home. For several years Mrs. Bennett made her home with her children.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. Hilma Smiley and Arthur Bennett of Fond du Lac; and Mrs. Carl Flink of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Also 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Her husband died in 1935.
Burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Norman and Marvin Flink, Alfred Johnson, Nyole Creed, Glen Kilty and Clarence Edblom. Rev. C. Vander Stoep conducted the services.
Songs "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Abide With Me" were sung by the choir.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. Hilma Smiley, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bennett and son Jim of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Mary Dallman, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Flink, and son, Marvin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
