Korntved, Peter (19 June 1877 - 21 Apr. 1953)

Peter Korntved, 75, a long time resident of this area, died at 7:45 a.m. Monday at the home of his daughter in Rhinelander.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, Wis. The Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiated and burial was in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

Peter Korntved was born in Oxford, N. J., June 19, 1877 and came with his parents to Romeo, Wisconsin when still a child. His parents were pioneers of that area.

He was married to Maggie Ringquist of Unity, May 9, 1903. After the death of his parents, he took over the old homestead. Mrs. Korntved passed away July 29, 1939. For the past ten years he had been living with his daughter near Rhinelander.

Surviving are four daughters, five brothers, 14 grand-children and four great grand-children.
