Vogt, John Herman (1874? - 9 May 1953)
J. H. Vogt, 79, a former resident of this area and former Marathon County highway commissioner, died Saturday at Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc, where he made his home the past two years.
Mr. Vogt resided in the Town of Brighton where he served the town as clerk and as town chairman.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, with burial at Wausau.

Masonic funeral rites were conducted Wednesday afternoon of last week at the Lulloff Funeral home, Colby, for Herman J. Vogt, 79, Town of Brighton, who passed away Saturday in Oconomowoc.
Burial was made in Wausau. Henry Aderhold, Edwin Grauman, George Carr, Raymond and Hugo Brehm and Oscar Carlson were pallbearers.
Out of town relatives attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Vogt, St. Paul and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Roepke, Birnamwood.
