Hackett, Jennie (1861? - ?Jan. 1944)

JENNIE WADE HACKETT

The burial of Mrs. Jennie Hackett, 83, of Fond du Lac took place on January 10 in the Neillsville cemetery, with brief services at the grave by the Rev. George W. Longenecker.

Ms. Hackett resided in her early years, her maiden being Jennie Wade. She was married to Evans Williams, a brother of the late Dave Williams, and they resided in the town of Pine Valley near the Silver Crest School. About forty years ago, they moved to Fond du Lac, where Mr. Williams later died. The deceased was again married, to a Mr. Hackett, who also preceded her in death. A niece, Mrs. Vera Crandall, lives in Granton. The few friends who remain in this community recall that Mrs. Hackett was a woman of fine character and of pleasing personality, a good neighbor and a true friend.

The body was accompanied to Neillsville by a friend with whom Mrs. Hackett had lived for the past few years. The Schiller-Terhune funeral director assisted at the burial.
