Polzin, Harold (29 Jan. 1920 - 10 Oct. 1943)
Memorial services will be held for Sgt. Harold Polzin on Sunday, January 30, at 10:30 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. William A. Baumann, pastor. Sgt. Polzin was born in Racine **January 29, 1920, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Polzin. He started school at the age of seven at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville, and was graduated in 1935. He entered the local high school in 1936, and after two years, took up farming on his father’s farm, near Neillsville.
He was inducted into the U. S. Army February 6, 1942, and went overseas in February, 1943, where he was stationed with the army air corps in India. He met his death on October 10, 1943.
