Kaiser, Kenneth (15 Oct. 1918 - Dec. 1943)
A message was received by Edgar Kaiser, who resides on West 6th Street, Neillsville, has told him of the death of his son, Kenneth Kaiser, somewhere in the Southwest Pacific war zone. The message conveyed that information that the young man was killed on December 6, in a plane crash, full particulars of which have not been revealed. Mr. Kaiser is hoping for further word soon.
Kenneth had studied aviation, and could fly a plane before he entered the U. S. Air Corps in August, 1942. Prior to entering the service, he was employed in West Allis as a welder, and was living there with an aunt, Mrs. Helen Storck, to whom the first word of his death was sent. He took his air force training at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., and was sent overseas about 15 months ago.
On Friday, Mr. Kaiser received a letter which his son had written shortly before his death, in which he said he was still O. K. Kenneth was born at Hartford, Wis., on October 15, 1918, and was 25 years of age. His earliest years were spent at Hartford, the family moving later to Slinger, Wis., where he attended school.
Kenneth has two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Harry Edwards, Madison, and Shirley and Charles who reside in West Allis. Edgar Kaiser, his father, was formerly employed at the Ford Garage and is now employed at Schultz Sales and Services.
