Garrulous Gertie’s Gossip - by Mrs. Cy. Reindel
The town of York Farmer’s Union Local will have its regular meeting at the George Reindel home this Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Charles Kupke and daughter, Arleen and Mrs. Ed. Kroll visited Sunday with the former’s daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clarence Becker in York.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Greeler, Mrs. Wheeler Forman of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Winkelman, Alvin Lavene and Charles Greeler were at Marshfield Thursday to call on Delores Greeler in the hospital there. The little lady underwent an operation Tuesday and is receiving nicely.
Mr. and Mrs. William Plummer, Mr. and Mrs. George Reindel and Mr. and Mrs. Cy. Reindel and son, Donald spent Thursday evening at the Franklin Reindel home, to help Miss Sandra Lou celebrate her third birthday.
Alvin Lavene spent Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Becker at Marshfield; Harold is leaving for the army soon.
The Neighborhood Homemakers 500 club gathered at the Edward Greeler home Sunday evening to help Ed. celebrate his birthday, which occurred Thursday, January 7. Prize winners at cards were Charles Greeler and Frederick Seelow, high; George and Mrs. Cy. Reindel, low; and Mrs. Markus Hoesly the traveling prize.
Peter Brown is entertaining the mumps.
Miss Josephine Laken and several other friends of Willard were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hoesly Sunday evening.
Alvin Lavene called at the William Embke home Sunday afternoon and spent the evening with Erwin and Wilmer Kroll.
Junior and Sheldon Moeller helped their cousin, Donald Reindel celebrate his 15th birthday Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Greeler called on their daughter, Delores, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Sunday.
A host of relatives and friends helped Glenn Wachholz celebrate his birthday Tuesday evening.
Elroy Johnson is the owner of a new tractor.
