Mr. and Mrs. Gus Bergemann have rented their farm to Dick Howe, who will take possession April 1. Mr. and Mrs. Bergemann came here from Black Creek in 1908 and ran a hotel in the village for several years. In 1916 they moved to a farm in York, and in 1924 moved to the farm which adjoined the first one and have lived here ever since. This couple has been active in social and civic life of the community, and has taken an active part in village affairs. Mr. Bergemann served on the high school board and was treasurer of the town of York for several terms. They have six sons and a daughter, two of them with the armed forces. Mr. and Mrs. Bergemann are undecided where they will locate, but may spend some time visiting their sons and families as well as other relatives.
