Doege, Robert (25 NOVEMBER 1932 - 24 FEBRUARY 1992)
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 1992 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Watkins, Minnesota for Robert Doege, 59, Winsted, formerly of Watkins, who died Wednesday, February 19, 1992 at Ridgeview Medical Center, Waconia.
The Rev. Edward Smorslander officiated. Burial was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, with military rites provided by Wat-Kin-Valley VFW Post.
Robert Doege was born on November 25, 1932 at Withee, Clark County, Wisconsin, to Herman and Louise (Gorsegner) Doege and was a member of the military police during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as a cheese maker by Modern Craftsman Milk Association and Mid American Dairymen. He was a member of American Legion Post 453 and Wat-Kin-Valley VFW Post.
Survivors include daughter and son, Mrs. David (Brenda) Ennis, Big Lake; Bryant, Rockford; sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Siemek, Gilman; and Mrs. Charles (Grace) Huberty,, Atlanta; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Herman and Arthur.
