82nd Birthday
A birthday celebrating the 82 birthday of Mr. G. S. Cook was held at the S. A. Cook home in Wisconsin Rapids Sunday afternoon.
Guests were Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Mabbott and the Calvin Cook family of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Healy, Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Andrews and Syrl and Mrs. Alice Andrews, Spencer; the Rev. Virgil Holmes family, Neillsville; Rev. and Mrs. Raymond Fleming, and Rev. and Mrs. Lee Holmes, LaCrosse; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Capes and daughters, Mrs. Edith Tollefson and the Leslie Anderson family of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cook, Marathon; the Robert Cook family, Ladysmith; and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cook and daughter of Stevens Point.
A surprise guest, formerly Miss Hazel Parks, who was the English teacher in the Unity High School and knew the Cook family well and who now lives in Wisconsin Rapids, called to visit a short time.
