Mravik, Stephen (1923? - 26 MAR 1944)
Stephen Mravik, 20, a resident of Lublin, who is in army service, died in Idaho March 26, 1944, according to word received by his parents. Funeral services with military honors will be held at St. Stanislaus Church at Lublin at 10:00 o’clock Saturday morning, April 1st.

Funeral services were conducted at ten o’clock Tuesday morning at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Lublin for Steve Mravik, S2c, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mravik of Lublin. Rev. Father Jos. Rapala officiated.
The parents were notified a week ago Sunday of the death of Seaman Mravik and the body arrived here Saturday from Camp Farragut, Idaho. He had been in the Navy but a short time, having been inducted Jan. 22, 1944, and had just returned to the training station after a furlough.
Besides his parents the young man is survived by six brothers, William and Edward of Chicago, Mike, Valentine and Emanuel at home, and Pfc. Albert Mravik in the army, stationed in Italy, and four sisters, Mrs. Frances Szydlik of Lublin, Mrs. Joe Kowal, Amelia and Julia Mravik of Chicago.
Members of the Thorp American Legion Post of Thorp acted as pallbearers and the military salute by the firing squad and taps were sounded at the grave in the parish cemetery.
