Pabich, John (27 DEC 1876 - 14 MAY 1944)

A requiem mass was conducted by Father F. Piekarski, pastor of St. Hedwig’s Congregation, assisted by Father Jerome Kamla of Junction and Father Francis Przybylski of Independence, Wis., at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10:00 o’clock Friday morning, May 19th for John Pabich, 67, who died May 14, 1944. Mr. Pabich passed away at the Eau Claire Sanitorium where he had been a patient since Feb. 11, 1940.

The deceased was born in Poland on Dec. 27, 1876, in the Province of Posen. He came to America at the age of 23 years and located in Chicago where he worked as a moulder in a foundry until Nov. 27, 1922.

He was united in marriage to Stella Sniegowski at St. Hyacinth Church, Chicago, on Nov. 28, 1905. In 1922 he and his family came to Thorp and settled on a farm in the town of Withee, where he resided until four years ago when his health failed.

He is survived by his wife and five children, Sophie (Mrs. Walter Marek), Frances (Mrs. Leon Marek) and Evelyn (Mrs. Edward Kobylinski, all of Thorp, and Minnie (Mrs. John Marek) of Chicago.

He was laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, the following friends acting as pallbearers: John Wojcik, John Balcer, Jos. Sopiarz, John Rogalski, Martin Tomkowiak and Adam Lesniewski.
