Hebert, Forrest (2 Oct. 1900 - 20 June 1958)
Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Jasperson Funeral Home, Spencer, Wisconsin, for Forrest Hebert, 57, who was employed near Stratford. Mr. Hebert was killed Friday afternoon in an auto accident which occurred at the Eckes Service Station on West Arnold Street in Marshfield, at about 4:45 P.M. Friday.
The Rev. Roger Knutsen, pastor of the local Methodist Church, officiated at the service and burial was made in the Spencer cemetery.
Forrest Hebert was born October 2, 1900, in the Town of Unity, Clark County. He grew up in the Spencer-Riplinger area and for many years operated a machine shop with a brother, Glenn, at Riplinger.
On January 24, 1935, he married the former Esther Vanderhoof of the Town of Sherman, Clark County, at Neillsville. They were separated a few years ago.
After operating the machine shop, in Riplinger, Mr. Hebert moved to Rhinelander and lived there for several years, doing carpenter work and odd jobs. He returned to this area to work only a few months ago.
Survivors in addition to his former wife, are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Sasche, and five grandchildren, Rhinelander; three brothers, Lloyd and Glenn, route 4, Marshfield, and Harry, Beach, N.D.; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Meacham, route 1, Loyal; and Mrs. Frank Bishop, Marshfield.
