Tippelt, Janice M. (Marriage - 1 July 1961)
Miss Janice M. Tippeldt and Clarence G. Hoffman, both of Rockford, Illinois were married during a 2 o’clock ceremony Saturday afternoon, July 1 at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. W. R. Krueger officiating.
The church was decorated with white and blue tinted carnations.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tippeldt, Spencer, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hoffman, Rockford.
Mrs. Arnold Bruesewitz accompanied Mrs. James Karau as she sang "O Perfect Love" and "The Lord’s Prayer."
The bride, given in marriage by her father, entered the church wearing a floor-length gown of white chiffon styled with a scoop-lace neckline, fingertip sleeves and a chapel train. She carried a cascade arrangement of white carnations and red roses.
Matron of honor in the wedding party was Mrs. Tony Mandela, with bridesmaids Mrs. Clyde Morden and Mrs. Bob Allen, all of Rockford. The attendants wore gowns of powder blue chiffon and carried bouquets of white and tinted carnations. Carol Jean Tippelt and Dean Mueller were flower girl and ring bearer.
The groom’s attendants were Duane Tippelt, Spencer, best man and Clyde Morden and Bob Allen, Rockford, groomsmen. Ushers were Gary Mueller, Medford and Fred Hoffman, Rockford.
A reception was held at the home of the parents of the bride and a supper was served in St. John’s Lutheran Church hall. That evening a dance was held at the Colby Pavilion.
The bride is a graduate of Spencer High School and has been employed by J. D. Clark in Rockford. Mr. Hoffman is a graduate of West High School in Rockford and is a machinist at Greenlee Bros. there.
After a wedding trip to Michigan and the east coast of Michgan and the east coast of Florida, the couple will make their home at 7515 Orlin Street, Rockford, Ill.
Out-of-town guests came from Chicago and Rockford, Ill., Milwaukee, Janesville, Evansville, Richfield, Pardeeville, Marshfield, Medford, Dorchester, Spencer, Stetsonville, Unity. Colby, Greenwood and Rib Lake.
