Loughead, Fred (13 Nov. 1889 - 15 Dec. 1960)
Fred Loughead, 71, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield early Wednesday morning.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Langseth officiating and burial will be made in the parish cemetery.
The body is reposing at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, Wis.
Mr. Loughead was born in Havelock, Iowa, November 13, 1889. The family came to Wisconsin in 1913 and settled on a farm east of Spencer. He operated farms in the Unity, Spencer and Chili areas before retiring in 1949. He moved to Unity where he worked as a painter. He was a veteran of World War I.
His marriage to the former Neola Nickol took place June 12, 1930. He was a member of the American Legion and Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, two brothers, Tom Loughead, Unity; and William Loughead, Abbotsford; and three sisters, Mrs. Mayme Peden, Milwaukee; Mrs. Raymond (Ida) Cook, Marathon; and Mrs. Nell Fuller, Wausau.
Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
