Hebert, Leo (1 Aug. 1899 - 25 Aug. 1961)
Funeral services were held at 10:45 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, Wisconsin, for Leo Hebert, 62, Colby, who died Friday after being admitted to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
The Rev. John Pinion officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hebert was born in Clark County, August 1, 1899. He was married to the former Hazel Tibbets at Colby, September 23, 1925. They farmed in the Unity area until four years ago when they moved to Colby, Wis.
He was a World War I veteran and a member of the American Legion Post at Unity. At one time he served on the Unity school board.
Surviving are his wife, eight daughters, Mrs. Edward (Marie) Hartl, Medford; Mrs. Ray (Vivian) Redetzke, Stratford; Mrs. Edward (Adella) Schmitz and Mrs. Bill (Alice) Kasten, Wausau; Mrs. Arthur (Florence) Edblom Jr., Unity; Mrs. Bill (Joan) Jones of Little Rock, Ark.; and Rose and Carol at home; three sons, Leonard, Spencer; Franklin, Gurnee, Ill.; and John at home; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Cole, Neenah; a brother, Charles Hebert, Yakima, Washington and 24 grandchildren.
