THORP -- Mary Ann Pogodzinski, 73, of Thorp, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 7, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Eau Claire.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary service, Sunday, April 6, at the Thorp Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

She was born Feb. 20, 1935, in Boyd to Alfred and Frances (Weigel) Seichter. She married Stanley Pogodzinski in September 1956 in Chicago. In 1958 they moved to a farm north of Thorp. They later divorced. Mary then moved to Altoona and worked for Heyde Health in food service. She returned to Thorp in 1997.

Mary is survived by nine children, Sue (Troy) Kalis, Wells, Minn., Eugene (Michele), Thorp, Jeri-Ann (Roger Ausman) Anderson, Eau Claire, Ken (Brenda), Withee, Chris (Jack) Wissell, Willard, Jim (Lyn), Dolly (Pat) Bauer, Thorp, Dan and Rick, all of Thorp; 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; seven brothers and three sisters.
