Lavina M. Kussrow
DORCHESTER -- Lavina M. Kussrow, 93, of Tomahawk, formerly of the town of Holway in Taylor County, died Monday, April 7, 2008, at the home of her daughter, Janice, under the care of her family and the Ministry Hospice of Rhinelander.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Dorchester, Wis. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Lavina was born Sept. 6, 1914, in Janesville, to Guy and Olive (Hinkle) Harwood. She married Arnold Kussrow on Aug. 3, 1933, in St. Paul, Minn. Arnold preceded Lavina in death. They moved to Dorchester where they farmed and raised their family. Later they purchased a tavern in the town of Holway which they owned for 18 years.
She is survived by her children, Dale Kussrow, Montello, Janice Kussrow, Tomahawk, and Terry (Diane) Kussrow, Dorchester; three grandchildren and five great-granddaughters; and one sister, Ariel Ulrich, Janesville.
