Neumann, Raymond (22 May 1920 - 2 Oct. 1988)

Spencer, Wis. - Raymond Neumann, 68, Spencer, Wisconsin, died at 6:35 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been admitted Sept. 26.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. The Rev. William Ruhbusch will officiate. Burial will be in the Trinity Cemetery in North Spencer. Pallbearers will be Robert Will, Dale and Royal Neumann, James Zahn, Dennis Hohfelder, and David Oestreich.

Visitation will be at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

He was born May 22, 1920, in Marshfield, to Herman and Anna Neumann. He attended the town of Brighton schools.

He married Ruby Hebert May 3, 1943, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Spencer.

He worked as a cheesemaker and milk hauler and was in the trucking business for many years. He had worked at Galvin Tractor in Abbotsford, Wis.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Laymens League, and served two terms as president of Trinity Lutheran Church. He had served on the Spencer Village Board and the Grove Side School Board.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; two sons, Jerry "Jack" Neumann of Marshfield, and Douglas Neumann of Spencer; two daughters, Mrs. Jerome (Sandra) Elsinger of Spencer, and Mrs. Lawrence (Diane) Decker of Colby; one sister, Linda Beisner of Weyauwega; and nine grandchildren.
