Kussrow, Lavina (Harwood) (6 Sep 1914 - 7 Apr 2008)

Lavina Kussrow, 93, Tomahawk, formerly of the town of Holway, died Monday, April 7, 2008, at the home of her daughter and under the care of her family and the Ministry Hospice, Rhinelander.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home in Dorchester, Wis.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home, Dorchester, Wis. Rev. Robert Everhard will preside. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Lavina was born September 6, 1914, in Janesville, to Guy and Olive (Hinkle) Harwood.

Later, her family moved to Richland Center.

She married Arnold Kussrow on August 3, 1932, in St. Paul, MN. They later moved to Dorchester, where they farmed and raised their family.

Later, they purchased a tavern in the Town of Holway which they owned for 18 years. She enjoyed gardening.

Lavina is survived by her children, Dale Kussrow, Montello, Janice Kussrow, Tomahawk, Terry (Diane) Kussrow, Dorchester; three grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; and one sister, Ariel Ulrich, Janesville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and two brothers.
