Born and raised on a farm near Neillsville, Wisconsin. Graduated from Neillsville High School, Stevens Point Normal, and the University of Wisconsin, with one year special work at Chicago University, Chicago, Ill.

For several years a teacher of rural schools in Clark County: three years in the graded school at Kendall. Mont., the third year as principal of that school. Critic teacher in the Normal Training School at Dillon, Mont., and two years as teacher in the Neillsville High School and teaching there at the present time.

A firm believer that to make good citizens attention must be given not alone to intellectual training but to health, moral standards and activities adapted to present needs and conditions of life.
